Shann Ray

Shann Ray is a poet, prose writer, and professor at Gonzaga University where he teaches leadership and forgiveness studies. His debut novel, American Copper, won the Foreword Book of the Year Readers’ Choice Award and the Western Writers of America Spur Award. He is also the author of American Masculine, a collection of stories, and Balefire, a book of poems. A licensed clinical psychologist and former professional basketball player, Ray is also the author of a work of political theory titled Forgiveness and Power in the Age of Atrocity.
