Richard Jesse Watson is the acclaimed illustrator of numerous award-winning picture books for children. His body of work includes illustrations for Tom Thumb, The Lord's Prayer, Psalm 23, The Legend of Saint Christopher, The Night Before Christmas, and One Wintry Night (written by Ruth Bell Graham). Watson has been honored with the SCBWI Golden Kite Award, Best Book Design from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Best Children's Book from the Printing Industries of America, and the Ezra Jack Keats Fellowship. His paintings have been chosen for numerous juried exhibitions, including the Society of Illustrators Annual Exhibit, permanent and traveling exhibits with MAZZA Museum, and the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature Museum.
