Patricia A. Johnson is an award-winning writer and performer of poetry. She is the author of Spirit Rising, a poetry chapbook, and Stain My Days Blue, a book-length collection of poems. Her writing has appeared in publications such as Poetry Slam, Fly Magazine, Appalachian Women’s Journal, Mount Voices, Black Literature in Review, and Her Words: Diverse Voices in Contemporary Appalachian Poetry. She is also a former national slam poetry champion.
