Michael Card is a Christian singer-songwriter, musician, and author best known for his contributions to contemporary Christian music. In addition to recording over 38 albums, Card has authored over 28 books on a wide range of spiritual and theological subjects. Among his many publications are Scribbling in the Sand: Christ and Creativity (2002), A Sacred Sorrow: Reaching Out to God in the Lost Language of Lament (2002), and The Nazarene: Forty Devotions on the Lyrical Life of Jesus (2020). A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's and master's degree in biblical studies, Card also serves as mentor to many younger artists and musicians, teaching courses on the creative process.
