Kevin Brockmeier

Kevin John Brockmeier has been called one of “America’s best practitioners of fabulist fiction.” Since graduating with an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, he has published two fantasy novels, two children's novels, and two collections of stories. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Georgia Review, McSweeney's, Zoetrope, The Oxford American, The Best American Short Stories, The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, and the O. Henry Prize Stories anthology. Brockmeier has won numerous awards for his writing, including the PEN USA Award, an NEA Grant, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and three O. Henry Prizes.
