The author of fourteen books, Dean Nelson's writing has appeared in The New York Times and The Boston Globe, and he has won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists for his reporting. Nelson is the founder and director of the journalism program at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. He also hosts PLNU's annual Writer’s Symposium by the Sea, where acclaimed authors speak about the craft of writing. His books also include God Hides in Plain Sight: How to Find the Sacred in a Chaotic World (2009), Quantum Leap: How John Polkinghorne Found God in Science and Religion (2011), and Talk To Me: How To Ask Better Questions, Get Better Answers, and Interview Anyone Like a Pro (2019).
