Born in Tucson, Arizona, Cameron spent most of his life in Phoenix but returned to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona, where he studied English and Creative Writing. In 2018, he added painting to his creative practice as a way of paying closer attention to life. He keeps busy writing and painting in his home studio in Decatur, Georgia, where he lives with his wife and four young children.

His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in West Branch, TYPO, Whiskey Island, Forklift Ohio, Image, The Shallow Ends, Tinderbox, The Florida Review, Ruminate, Asheville Poetry Review, Pittsburgh Poetry Review, Saint Katherine Review, and elsewhere.
