At the 1996 Festival, Bill Stephenson participated in a panel discussion about "Teaching Writers and Writing," along with John Netland and Albert Haley. He spoke about his paper "God, Annie Dillard, and Environmental Writing."
During his teaching career, Stephenson taught at Woodland Christian Academy (Houston, TX), the University of Texas at Austin, and Northland College (Ashland, WI).
