Susan S. Phillips

Susan S. Phillips is executive director and professor of sociology and Christianity at New College Berkeley, where she previously served as academic dean. She is also a trained spiritual director who serves as a supervisor for spiritual directors and consultant for Christian organizations. She is the author of Candlelight: Illuminating the Art of Spiritual Direction (2008) and The Cultivated Life: From Ceaseless Striving to Receiving Joy (2015).
