Robert Vander Lugt

Robert Vander Lugt is the author of the short story collection Sand, Smoke, Current (2013). The collection was highly praised by The Midwest Review for its lyrical depictions of "ordinary, salt-of-the-earth people who grapple with both common, practical problems and the far-reaching big questions." Vander Lugt's fiction has also been published in two short story anthologies, and his work won top honors in the 2014 Write Michigan Short Story Contest. His non-fiction essays have appeared in The Other JournalPerspectivesCatapult, and The Banner.
