Lindsay Ellis

Lindsay Ellis is an Associate Professor of English at Grand Valley State University, where she also directs Writing Across the Curriculum and the Lake Michigan Writing Project. A scholar and activist, she uses her understanding of literature, language, and written argumentation to support teachers, quality schools and healthy ecosystems.
Ellis spent a year as a visiting scholar at the University of Amsterdam, studying argumentation and conflict resolution. She also teaches summer institutes on writing instruction for K-12 teachers. Ellis holds a B.A. from Wheaton College, an M.A. in Humanities from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in English and Education from the University of Michigan.
