L. Lamar Nisly is associate Dean of Arts and Letters and professor of English at Bluffton University (Ohio). He is the editor of Conversations with Tim Gatreaux (2012), a collection of interviews that illuminate Gatreux's sense of place, his deep connection to the mechanical and working world, his commitment to the craft of writing, and his Catholic perspective. Nisley is also the author of Wingless Chickens, Bayou Catholics, and Pilgrim Wayfarers: Constructions of Audience and Tone in in O'Connor, Gautreaux, and Percy (2011) and Impossible to Say: Representing Religious Mystery in Fiction by Malamud, Percy, Ozick, and O'Connor (2002).
