Jonathan Safran Foer is the author of the highly acclaimed novels Everything Is Illuminated (2002), Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2005), and Here I Am (2016). He has also published the nonfiction books Eating Animals (2009) and We Are the Weather: Saving the Planet Begins at Breakfast (2020). Foer has won numerous awards, including the Guardian First Book Prize, the New York Public Library Young Lions Prize, the William Saroyan International Prize for Writing, and the National Jewish Book Award. He is the Lillian Vernon Distinguished Writer-in-Residence at New York University.
