Jonathan Merritt is a prolific columnist on faith and culture, a New York Times bestselling ghostwriter and the critically-acclaimed author of five books including his debut children's picture book My Guncle and Me. His articles have been published widely in respected outlets such as The Atlantic, The New York Times and The Washington Post, and have earned him four Wilbur Awards for excellence in journalism and the Religion News Association's "Columnist of the Year" award. His last non-fiction book Learning to Speak God from Scratch explored "the death and resurrection of sacred speech" and was named "Book of the Year'' by The Englewood Review of Books. In addition to being a highly sought after speaker, preacher and writing coach, Jonathan is also a senior literary agent with The Christopher Ferebee Agency representing top talent and emerging voices in the adult non-fiction and children's picture book spaces. His latest passion is to develop film/television projects, and he currently has a TV series under development with 20th Century Fox. Jonathan resides in Manhattan where he serves as an elder at Good Shepherd New York.
