Joanna Yin

Joanna Yin is a lecturer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she teaches World, British, and American literature. In her field of Puritan literature, she studies the intersections of culture, religion, gender, and language.
Yin's dissertation was a study of the evolution of Puritan discourse entitled Regenerating the Argument: Representations of Women in Puritan Literature. She discussed her paper "Luci Shaw: The Poet and Her Communities" at the 1994 Festival of Faith & Writing.
