YA author, English teacher, and former journalist Jennifer Mathieu enjoys writing contemporary young adult fiction that treats teenagers like real people. Her debut novel The Truth About Alice (2014) won the Children’s Choice Teen Debut Author Award. Mathieu’s other works include Devoted (2015), Moxie (2017), and The Liars of Mariposa Island (2019). A film adaptation of Moxie, directed by Amy Poehler, is set to appear on Netflix.
Mathieu currently lives and teaches in the Houston, Texas area with her husband and son. She loves to eat and hates to cook.
