Jeff Zentner is the author of two young adult novels, Goodbye Days and The Serpent King. The latter was a New York Times Notable Children’s Book of 2016, won the William C. Morris Award, the Amelia Elizabeth Walden Award, International Literacy Association Award, and Westchester Fiction Award. The Serpent King was also longlisted for the Carnegie Medal and was a finalist for the Southern Book Prize and the ABA’s Indies Choice Book Award.
Before becoming a writer, Zentner was a musician with three solo albums. He has recorded with Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, and Debbie Harry. He currently lives and works as a lawyer in Nashville.
