Jean Hollander was a poet whose works included And They Shall Wear Purple (Sheep Meadow Press, 2016), Torn Love (David Robert Books, 2013), Counterpoint (Bright Hill Press, 2011), Organs and Blood (David Robert Books, 2008), Moondog (Quarterly Review of Literature, 1996), and Crushed Into Honey (Saturday Press, 1986). She also completed critically-acclaimed verse translations of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy with her husband.
