Heather Walker Peterson

Heather Walker Peterson is a professor and chair of the English department at University of Northwestern, St. Paul. She is interested in the ways in which language, written and spoken, influence spiritual identity in worship and in formational activities with children. She holds an MA in linguistics from the University of North Dakota, and a PhD in English with an emphasis on composition and TESOL from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching, Peterson writes for digital publications such as The Mudroom, Humane Pursuits, and The Well.
