Cindy K. Steffen is a poet, writer, and naturalist who holds degrees in fine art and natural history from Ohio University. She is the founder of Heart By Nature Retreats, and her retreat sessions combine contemplation, poetry, and nature. Steffen has published a book of poetry, Sightings: Twenty-One Poems Observed (2019), about her encounters with the natural world and the ways in which those encounters are both ordinary and extraordinary.
