Christine Berghoef
Criticism, Memoir, Spirituality
Christine Berghoef is the founder and CEO of the Institute of Faith, Justice & Dialogue. Her organization helps Christians engage with our pluralistic society in a meaningful way, and learn from others whose lives have been shaped differently, whether by race, ethnicity, economics, religion, or geography. Berghoef is also the author of the memoir Cracking the Pot: Releasing God from the Theologies that Bind Him. She facilitates seminars on civil discourse, and leads educational trips where students and churches study the history of oppression and injustice, with an eye to discovering what justice might call for today.
