Carla Barnhill has more than twenty years' experience in the publishing industry. At Sparkhouse, an imprint of 1517 Media that develops resources for children, youth, and adults in Christian communities, Barnhill held the positions of vice president, publisher, senior director of resource development, senior editor, and director of youth development. In addition to her work at Sparkhouse, she has served as the editor of Christian Parenting Today magazine and as associate editor of Campus Life magazine. She is the author of The Myth of the Perfect Mother: Rethinking the Spirituality of Women, and has also written several books for children, including Blessings Every Day and The Totally True Book of Strange and Surprising Bible Lists.
