Join Our Student Festival Committee
If you love reading or writing, are interested in volunteering to help put on a major literary conference, and are a Calvin student enrolled in the fall and spring semesters of Festival, the Center for Faith & Writing has been waiting for you!
Over the years, many notable writers have attended the Festival, including Anthony Doerr, Maya Angelou, Elie Wiesel, Chaim Potok, Kwame Alexander, Kate Bowler, Marilynne Robinson, Madeleine L'Engle, Zadie Smith, Kate DiCamillo, Anne Lamott, and Katherine Paterson.
In anticipation of the 2026 Festival, you can sign up to be on the committee and host one of our speakers throughout their time at Calvin University.
What do student committee members do?
Host Festival speakers on campus
Meet other students who love books, art, and culture
Extend hospitality to the readers that attend the Festival, both over the three days they join us on campus, and as we plan for the party
Gain skills in communications, event planning, hospitality, and administration
