Lew Klatt (PhD, University of Georgia) is a professor of English at Calvin University. He is the author of six collections, including Cloud of Ink, winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize, and Interloper, winner of the Juniper Prize for Poetry. His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The Believer, Best American Poetry, Image, and many other journals and anthologies. He is also co-editor of Playing with Fire: Christian Poets Reflect on Faith and Practice and served as poet laureate of Grand Rapids from 2014-2017. A native of Cincinnati, Lew found his way to Boston, Pittsburgh, Annapolis, Athens (Georgia), and Cortona, Italy, before settling with his wife in Michigan.
