Janyre Tromp

Janyre Tromp is an award-winning, best-selling historical suspense novelist who writes fiery myth-laced tales that, at their core, hunt for beautyβ€”even when it isn’t pretty. Her most recent book, The Scorpion Thief (April 2026), transports readers into a Cold War heist laced with Egyptian myth, political intrigue, and the fracture loyalties of two estranged sisters caught on opposite sides of a dangerous game. Janyre’s other books include Darkness Calls the Tiger and Shadow’s in the Mind’s Eye.

In addition, she’s an award-winning nonfiction and fiction editor with more than twenty years of experience in acquiring, editing, and marketing books for both Indies and traditional publishers. Over the course of her career, she has worked on nearly a thousand books. Now a sought-after freelance editor and workshop presenter, Janyre adores working with writers and equipping them to make their books the best they can be.

But she’s also a mom and wrangler of all thingsβ€”including her fantastic teens and crazy fur babies. You can find her on social media (@JanyreTromp), and on either her author website or her editor website.

And if you ever meet in person, you say her name Jan-ear or Jen-air or really anything close.
