In this generative writing workshop we will read poems about rivers, write about our own watershed, located as we are in the Lower Grand River Watershed and its sub watersheds. We will consider how we might address our rivers through the medium of poetry and what the work of restoration ecology might have to do with the work of “re-storying” our watersheds.
Please bring: a notebook and a pen or pencil. We will be writing by hand during this workshop.

About Hannah Faith Notess
Hannah Faith Notess is a poet and software product manager. She serves as poetry editor for Reformed Journal and earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Indiana University. Her first book of poems, The Multitude, won the Michael Waters Poetry Prize from Southern Indiana Review Press. She lives with her family in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she co-runs a poetry reading series, Yellow Chair Poetry, in her house.
