Will Stephenson attended the 1996 Festival of Faith & Writing, where he participated in the academic session "The Writings of Annie Dillard." Stephenson and his wife, Mimosa Stephenson, spoke about their paper "Annie Dillard's 'Aces and Eights': Variations on a Theme by E.B. White."
At the time, Stephenson taught at Texas State Technical College in Harlingen. He and Mimosa live in Brownsville.
