Nathan Bierma is the author of Bringing Heaven Down to Earth: Connecting This Life to the Next (2005), The Eclectic Encyclopedia of English (2009), and Every Tribe and Tongue: A Biblical Vision for Language in Society (2011). He has taught courses in writing, speech, and theology at Calvin College (now Calvin University). His "On Language" column appeared regularly in The Chicago Tribune from 2004-2008.
