Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah


Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah is The New York Times bestselling author of the short story collection Friday Black. His work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times Book ReviewLiterary Hub, The Paris Review, Guernica, and Longreads. He is the winner of the PEN/Jean Stein Book Award, and has been a finalist for the Aspen Words Literary Prize and the National Book Critics Circle’s John Leonard Award for Best First Book. Adjei-Brenyah holds a BA from SUNY Albany and an MFA from Syracuse University, and has been selected by Colson Whitehead as one of the National Book Foundation's “5 Under 35” honorees.
