John Rottman

Theology

John Rottman is a Professor Emeritus of Preaching at Calvin Theological Seminary. While there, he helped start the Calvin Prison Initiative at Handlon Prison. Rottman previously served at Grace Christian Reformed Church of Scarborough and First CRC of Toronto. Additionally, he worked in a psychiatric hospital for five years before his call to the pastorate and preaching.

Rottman holds a B.A. from Calvin College, an M.A. from the University of St. Michaels College, an M.Div. from Calvin Theological Seminary, and a Th.D. from Emmanuel College of Victoria University in the University of Toronto and the Toronto School of Theology. He and his wife, Marilyn, have three adult children.
