Debbie Blue is a graduate of Yale Divinity School and one of the founding pastors of House of Mercy in St. Paul, Minnesota, widely known as a creative faith community and one of the most enduring "emergent" churches. She is the author of Sensual Orthodoxy (2004), From Stone to Living Word: Letting the Bible Live Again (2008), Consider the Birds: a Provocative Guide to the Birds of the Bible (2013), and Consider the Women: A Provocative Guide to Three Matriarchs of the Bible (2019).
