Chris Willerton

Chris Willerton is a professor emeritus at Abilene Christian University, where he taught for forty-one years. During his time at Abilene, he taught courses in creative writing and British literature, and served as the first director of the university's honors college.

Willerton is a published poet whose work has appeared in Southern Poetry Review, descant, Windhover, and Tar River; he is also a contributor to the book The Word in the English Classroom: Best Practices of Faith Integration (2009). He holds MA and PhD degrees from the University of North Carolina.
