Charles Pollard


Dr. Charles Pollard has been president of John Brown University since 2004. Before coming to JBU, Pollard practiced law at Latham & Watkins for three years and taught English at Calvin College for seven years. He has authored two books: New World Modernisms (2005) and May It Always Be True: Educating Students in Faith (2011).

Pollard holds a B.A. in English from Wheaton College, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, an M.A. in English from Oxford University, and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia. He and his wife, Carey, have four children.
