The Center for Faith & Writing is committed to making all reasonable arrangements to allow attendees to participate in every event at the Festival of Faith & Writing. Calvin University’s campus complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and we work to make the Festival comfortable and accessible for all participants. We recognize not all disabilities require accommodations, and some are invisible. The Center offers accommodations such as accessible parking and doors, a Loop hearing aid audio system in our larger venues, on-campus shuttles, detailed accessibility maps, quiet spaces to reflect and regroup, and on-site contacts when help is needed. Although the Center does not require every person to disclose their disability to us, please know that, given the range and variations of disabilities, we may not be equipped to properly accommodate someone unless they contact us directly to share their questions and concerns.

Please email or call 616.526.8423 to tell us about your needs confidentially, and we can discuss how best to accommodate you.

Note: Many accessibility services require significant advance planning for a gathering as large as ours. In order to help us better prepare, all requests for accessibility services should be submitted well in advance of the Festival. We can best meet accessibility needs when requests are sent by Monday, March 16, 2020. We will make every effort to accommodate requests that arrive after March 16, but we cannot guarantee it will be possible.
